Two rows sit under the module:
- Dashboards and Reports, which is this screen.
- People Analytics, which is its own module and is managers and above.
The metrics
Each metric carries its value, how far along it is against whatever it is measured against, a line saying what it means, the records it came from, and a link into the module that owns it.
They cover the same ground as Finance because they are computed in the same pass: contracted revenue, cash collected, receivables, overdue, committed and paid spend, payroll, budgets and how much of them is used, open pipeline, closed revenue, and account counts.
Budgets
Every project's budget against what it has committed, with the percentage used.
A workspace with no records
Insights does not print a screen of zeroes. A workspace that has not started trading gets a page saying so rather than eight headline figures that read like a company having a bad quarter.
How it connects
Every metric links to its module. That is the intended way to use this screen: read the position, then press into whichever number you want to do something about.
Common questions
Is this the same as Finance? The same pass computes both, so they cannot disagree. Finance is the money picture in detail, with ageing and budgets. Insights is the whole company position with the links out.
Can I build my own report? Reports and exports live in People Analytics for people data. Business reporting is what this screen is.
Why does a metric read zero? Because there are no records behind it yet. The sub line says which module would create some.
